As August rolls on, may we suggest you “Take Off To The Beach” with a Night Flight episode that actually aired this weekend 31 years go!


The episode takes you through an exclusive video vignette series covering the land of the surf, sand and sun with videos from Y&T, The Beach Boys, Joe King Carrasco and Beastie Boys, who only a couple years earlier had been on our newly added The Scott and Gary Show with a much different sound!

Dog Police!

On August 17, 1984, Night Flight’s Friday night full episode featured a music video by Dog Police, a trio of talented Memphis musicians with a ridiculous song about hound-faced detectives busting up a bad blind date at a rock club.

Pioneering UK electro-pop synth trio Human League on New Sounds ’86

On October 10, 1986, Night Flight aired one of our popular episodes focused on “New Sounds,” which included those pioneers in electro-pop, Human League, whose latest video, the Andy Morahan-directed “Human,” had been written and produced by R&B songwriter-producers and former members of The Time, “Jimmy Jam” Harris and Terry Lewis.
