Night Flight Presents: The Laz Rojas Collection

This weekend, we are honored to announce we have partnered with beloved outsider actor, screenwriter, filmmaker, artist, cartoonist, and one-man movie studio, Laz Rojas to bring his films to the Night Flight Plus Streaming Channel.

If you aren’t familiar with Laz, we recommend you check out VICE’s excellent documentary on his work and our article on the Night Flight Blog today as a primer. In his ’90s audition tape, Rojas portrayed over 100 male and female characters in scenes written and directed by the actor himself. The mysterious reel was a much sought after film for cult enthusiasts in the mid 90s, so we are thrilled to bring you a number of short films created during this period, including bloopers, music videos and outtakes with descriptions of the films written by Laz himself.

Night Flight continues its original mission of exposing and supporting excellent underground talent. We’re proud to include Laz and his brilliant work in that mission.

R.I.P Malcolm Young: Watch essential AC/DC documentaries on Night Flight Plus

This past weekend, we noted with heavy hearts the passing of AC/DC‘s rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, whose patented rock riffs contributed to carrying the best-selling heavy rock band of all time to the top of the LP charts (here’s where we’ll note “it’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock ‘n’ roll”).

From our excellent Classic Album’s Under Review section, we have two AC/DC offering’s that help give insight into the band’s classic records Back in Black and Highway To Hell.

Introducing: Free to Watch!

We’re excited to announce a new promotion on our Roku and Apple TV apps that will apply to those of you haven’t become members yet. We’re selecting original Night Flight episodes every weekend to feature for FREE on the apps. This is a great way to remember the awesome power of Night Flight without taking the plunge into our (quite modestly priced) monthly or annual subscriptions.

This weekend it’s an episode of Night Flight’s The Video Artist and apocalyptic fan favorite video mashup, Atomic TV.
