Flashy Bundesliga footballers show us their best dance moves

By on October 27, 2015

We noticed this one making the viral rounds on the ol’ blogosphere today and even though it’s been around for ages, we thought it was worthy of sharing with you, just in case you needed a little colorful dancing by German footballers to spice up your life.

Bundesliga 3

We don’t know much about this one other than it’s a German TV show from 1970, showing off suggestions for possibly newly-designed uniforms — including rainbow shirts and shorts and a rather obvious obsession for stripes — for the teams of the Bundesliga, Germany’s primary football competition.

According to one description we’ve read, the moderator is discussing how “boring and lame the official looks are and that the fashion and color designers came up with the following outfits to make the game more interesting and colorful. They explain very detailed the colors since at the point many did not have color TV!”

It’s a bit tricky to suss out too many details as we don’t speak German, and you’re welcome to leave us comments below if you know more about what’s happening here.

We dig the fact that these clumsy-looking athletes are doing these erratic dance moves (if that’s what you want to call them) to a Brazilian samba.
