Come out to Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn on October 4th to meet Night Flight’s Stuart Shapiro & Stuart Samuels and preview new IFC episodes!

By on September 21, 2018

To honor Night Flight’s return to IFC’s airwaves again, Stuart Shapiro, the creator and producer of Night Flight — along with special guest Stuart Samuels, the original writer of Night Flight’s TV episodes and writer/director of the new episodes — will be previewing brand new episodes of “Night Flight,” which returns every Friday night at 1am Eastern (actually, early Saturday morning) to the IFC cable channel, beginning Friday, October 5, 2018!

This 2-hour screening event — which will feature a Q&A session following the 90-minute IFC/“Night Flight” sneak preview of our show’s second season, featuring newly-restored segments from Pete Townshend and the Who, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Kate Bush, Leonard Cohen, Robert Plant, Robert Palmer, Whitney Houston & more — will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018, beginning at 9:30pm (Eastern) at Brooklyn’s Alamo Drafthouse (445 Albee Square W #4, Brooklyn, NY 11201).

Stuart Shapiro will also be signing copies of his new book, Identifi Yourself, recently published by Waterside Press, and he will be giving away ten free signed copies to random ticket holders.

Tickets to this Alamo Drafthouse/Brooklyn event are available here. Be the first to see a preview of our upcoming IFC shows at this special New York premiere!

The new “Night Flight” short-form program (which premiered earlier this year on Friday, April 20th) features 15-minute episodes showcasing the most memorable moments from the original Night Flight library, including iconic interviews and performances from ’80s-era all-stars, and many more Night Flight treasures from the archive.

These new IFC episodes feature digitally-restored content from the original tape masters in the Night Flight library. Our classic footage has never looked better!

These late night special episodes are an authentic tribute to what VH1 called “the single greatest rock omnibus program ever aired” and Brooklyn Vegan named “the most consistently weird and awesome thing on cable television in the ’80s.”

Night Flight Plus is available online, and via streaming services including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast, offering access to Night Flight episodes in their original airdate form, plus an array of provocative new selections (many from MVD) from the world of music, documentaries, animation, cult film, horror and more for just $39.99 a year.

Don’t forget, Night Flight creator/founder Stuart Shapiro will also be signing copies of his new book, Identifi Yourself!
