Inside Blade Runner’s model shop

It’s always a trip to take yourself out of the rapture of some of the best 20th century sci-fi scenes to think, “Hey, that AT-AT isn’t 10 stories high.” It’s more like a foot. That was the world behind the special effects for so many of our favorite space battles; hand-built model spaceships. This group of photos popped up recently on reddit and we had to share. It’s a behind the scenes look at the models of Blade Runner and their builders, revealing small scale peeks into some of the most iconic scenes from the film.
