"Smile, cuz you'll never be the same again..."

I was intending to begin a series on foreign horror movies. I hope this pick doesn’t disappoint. First of all it’s a documentary, second there is no carnage or suspense but there is real life horror with a real world vampire- the steel industry. It is a terrifyingly true vision of the Amazonian apocalypse; the deforestation of South America, the plight of its migrant workers and the socio-economical, political and ethical quandaries that their intertwined fates produce. Hence, this is one of the most depressing movies I have ever seen… Os Carvoeiros.
